What are the benefits of See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card?

With your Smartvisit Card you will receive great savings and value whether traveling alone or with your family and friends. It offers free admission to over 40 attractions in Sydney and Blue Mountains. It will also help you with your trip planning and will ensure that you get to see and do all the best things available.

Who is the See Sydney & Beyond Card for?

Anyone who visits Sydney will benefit from the See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card. There is something for everyone. It is perfect for first time visitors, return visitors or locals who have not been to the local attractions for a while.  It includes all the major attractions, plus the lesser known ones.

Does the Smartvisit Card come with a guidebook?

Yes. You will receive for FREE a 128 page Smartvisit guidebook with your purchase. You will find information on all the See Sydney & Beyond attractions, plus maps and local tips.

Is there a Smartvisit Card for children?

Yes.  Available for children aged between 4 and 15. For under 4s, no card is necessary.  Children who are 16 or older will need an adult card.

Do you have a family card?

No.  There is currently no family card available and each member of your party will require their own card.  However the savings are substantial for family groups too.

How long is the card valid for?

See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card is available for two, three and seven days. Cards are valid for consecutive days from the first day you first start using it.

Do I have to use it for consecutive days?

Yes.  The See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card is valid for consecutive days only. If you purchase a 3 day Smartvisit Card and you start to use it on Tuesday, it will be valid for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of that week.

What time does it run out?

Your See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card is valid for calendar days, not for 24 hour periods. It will run out on the final day of validity. If you purchase a two day card and start to use if on Wednesday, it will be valid for Wednesday and Thursday.

Does the card need to be signed?

Yes.  All cardholders need to sign the card – both adults and children. For security purposes we recommend that you sign the card as soon as you receive it. Please note that once signed, no refunds or exchanged can be made.

Attractions

Is ID needed at the attraction?

No.  Your See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card is all you need to gain access to the attraction. You will be asked to sign the back of your card before you start to use it.  Once you reach your chosen attractions, simply present your card at the admissions point.

Does the Smartvisit Card include all of Sydney’s attractions?

The See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card offers free entry to over 40 of Sydney and Blue Mountains best attractions. Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Opera House Guided Tours, Harbour Bridge Pylon Lookout, Harbour Cruises, Taronga Zoo, Historic Houses and the National Trust properties are just some of the attractions included. How much is the public entry fee to each of the attractions?

Attraction fees vary from $2 to $85 if you were to visit without a See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card.  To review the usual entry fees please visit each of the attractions own pages.

How long do the Sydney Jet boating tours last?

With the See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card you are entitled to a free Jet Blast with Sydney Jet Boat. This lasts approximately 35 minutes. Sydney Jet is a popular experience so bookings are essential. Make your booking directly with Harbour Jet as soon as you have purchased your card to avoid disappointment.

Are there any evening activities?

Yes.  The See Sydney & Beyond Card has evening dining offers and some attractions also stay open late, such as Sydney Aquarium and Luna Park.

What restaurants are included in the card?

In addition, there is a special lunch cruise offer on Magistic Cruises. Offers at the Queen Victoria Building and Habourside Shopping Centre extend to cafes and restaurants too.

Planning

Do I have to pre-book for any tours?

Due to limited availability on some tours and experiences, we do recommend that you call ahead to reserve your place and we have noted these in your guidebook.

Can I book in advance for any tours?

Most of the attractions and experiences do not need to be booked in advance. However, if you would like to reserve you place on certain tours and activities, you can. Phone numbers and booking procedures can be found in your guidebook.

Are there any special conditions for the Sydney Jet Ride?

Yes.  A $15 supplement is payable on Saturdays, Sundays, Public Holidays and throughout December and January.  Also a 130cm height restriction applies.  Bookings are essential.

Purchase

Can I buy a See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card as a gift?

Yes.  See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card’s are an excellent gift for friends and relatives. When they start using their cards, they can simply sign and date the reverse. Cards are activated at the first attraction visited.

Can I purchase the Smartvisit Card prior to arrival in Sydney?

Yes and we recommend it.  Buy now and also get a great online deal.  The See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card can be purchased online, or by calling 1300 661 711 within Australia, calling 61 2 9906 2711 if overseas or through your local travel agent.

Can I purchase the See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card in Sydney?

Yes. Whilst purchasing in advance can help with your itinerary planning and you get a special online deal, the See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card is available from several retailers in Sydney. Can I upgrade my card if I bought a 3-day card and really liked it, to a 7-day card?

If you have already started to use your card, and you wish to extend your stay, you will need to purchase new card. If you wish to upgrade your card to a longer duration prior to use, you can by visiting one of our retail locations in Sydney.

Transport

How does the transport option work?

If you purchase the See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card with transport, you will receive a DayTripper or TravelPass. This entitles you to unlimited CityRail travel and travel on State Transit buses and ferries within metropolitan Sydney. Please note that it does not include travel on privately operated services such as the Monorail, Light Rail, or the service to and from Sydney airport.

Does the transport option get me to every attraction included on the card?

If you purchase a package including transport, you will receive transport tickets valid on State Transit’ public buses, trains and ferries. This is valid for travel within the Sydney metropolitan area. There are a number of attractions, which are not based on the public transport network.  These include:

  • Featherdale Wildlife Park – Take a train to Blacktown Station. Private bus number 725 runs to the Park. A fare for this bus is payable.
  • Blue Mountains

Your transport ticket is valid as far as Emu Plains. If you have purchased transport with your See Sydney & Beyond Smartvisit Card you will need to purchase an extension ticket when you board the train. Simply ask for a ticket from Emu Plains to Katoomba station.

Is the Monorail & Light Rail included?

No.  Travel on the Monorail and Light Rail are not included in the TravelPass as they are privately operated services.

Do I have to purchase transport for my children?

If you purchase the transport option, all children aged between 4 and 15 years old need to have a TravelPass. If there is more than one child in a party accompanied by adults, only one child travel pass per day is required for all the children aged between 4 and 15. Please note this is a State Transit ruling and is subject to change. Each child will need to have a Smartvisit Card. Children under 4 travel free. Children 16 or over require an adult pass.

Is travel to and from the airport included?

No.  Your TravelPass does not include transport to the airport.

How much does the airport city rail link cost?

Transport fares vary. For the latest information on fares, please call 131 500 or go to www.airportlink.com.au.  At time of publication, the following prices were valid – these are subject to change.

How do I get to the Blue Mountains?

Trains to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains depart from Central Railway Station. For timetable and fare enquiries, call 131 500 or visit www.cityrail.info.  Alternatively, if you have a car, it is 90 minutes drive from Sydney.

How much does it cost to get to the Blue Mountains?

If you are in possession of a DayTripper or TravelPass, you will only need to purchase a ticket between Emu Plains and Katoomba. This currently costs $6.20 one way for an adult or $8.60 for an off peak return. Fares can change, so this information should be used as a guide only.

Is the ferry from Circular to Parramatta included?

Yes.  If you purchase a package including transport, your DayTripper or TravelPass includes travel to Parramatta on the RiverCat.
